Sunday funday at the pool!

We have had a lot of rain here in MN over the past weeks and it is starting to get a little old......  Luckily, yesterday afternoon the sun came out and we were able to meet up with Sherman's & Wenzel's at the Northfield Community Pool for some swimming and a picnic dinner. 

It has been so much fun watching Hudson, Ethan, & Karlee grow up together.  It is amazing to see how much they have changed over the last three years!

And now we are adding another group of kiddos to the mix with Karlee having a little sister Samantha who will be one at the beginning of August, Ethan having a little brother Blake who is almost 3 months, and Hudson having a little sister in about 5 weeks!  We will definitely have our hands full as parents :)

Feeding the giraffes

This year the MN Zoo introduced an African animal exhibit that included a couple giraffes.  A couple weeks ago, Hudson and I headed up there on a Friday morning to go see the "farm" and the other animals.  Of course we had to start with the tractor, cows, and pigs but then we made our way over to the African exhibit.  While we were checking out the animals, Hudson noticed a little boy feeding the giraffe "mama I do that"  and he did :)

After we were done seeing all of the animals, we decided to check out the splash pad as it was pretty warm out.  Hudson was a little hesitant at first but by the time we were ready to leave his entire T-shirt and his shorts were sopping wet.  Next time I will need to pack his swimsuit :)

Interview with a 3 year old

I saw this great idea both on a friend's blog and on pinterest to interview Hudson every year around his birthday.  It was rather interesting trying to get him to answer some of the questions.  Here we go.

What did you do on your birthday? We went to the zoo (or farm as he calls it) on Friday.  Had a party on Saturday.  Sunday morning we played with our toys before going out to lunch then we went to Papa & Nana's house for dinner

Duluth Get-Away.... May 24th to the 25th

With baby girls arrival coming soon, we decided to take a mini trip to Duluth just the 3 of us.  We headed out the Friday before memorial day and arrived just after lunch.  The weather was a little chilly but that didn't stop us from walking around at Canal Park.

Of course we head to have dinner at Grandma's Saloon :)

We stayed the night at the Edgewater Resort and were able to enjoy the indoor waterpark both Friday night & Saturday morning. 

The playground for the little kids.  They also had a lazy river, two water slides, and a pool with basketball hoops.

The Farm..... May 18, 2013

Saturday May 18th we headed out to my aunt & uncle's farm in Cottonwood to celebrate my cousin Mallory's grad party with Nana & Papa.  Once we arrived Hudson was so excited to see the farm!  He especially loved the horses.

As the afternoon went on, Hudson's confidence increased and towards the end he was trying to feed them grass :)
