Seseame street live!

Friday January 11th was my first official Friday off :)  The week before I had been watching the news and there was a commercial for Sesame Street Live, in town January 10th-13th.  I was not too sure about whether or not Hudson would like it but I decided to buy tickets for the Friday morning show.  So glad I did!

Of course we had to make a stop at Caribou on our way downtown for a little snack :)

We arrived about 45 minutes before the show was to start as they had a playzone for kids to run around in.  Well I think Hudson was a bit overwhelmed with all of the kids so we decided to head upstairs and walk around the concourse a bit before the show started.  After buying a bottle of water for $4, tub of popcorn for $5, and a little Elmo stuffed animal for $15 we were finally able to go sit in our seats.....

Hudson loved the show as there was a lot of singing and dancing :)  Everytime Elmo left the stage he asked me "where elmo go?".

After about 45 minutes they had a 15 minute intermission.  Unfortunately he was getting tired and needed to eat some lunch so we decided to go.  We were able to stop at playzone on our way out and snap a couple pictures :)

This picture makes me laugh, Hudson pushed that red button and Ernie started to talk to him, freaked baby boy out.  This is him running back to mama :)

Overall it was a fun morning and I would definitely take him again.  I think next time though I will check and see if we could bring our own lunch so we could stay for the whole show.

Christmas morning

Christmas morning was spent at home with just the 3 of us (+ Jasper).  After breakfast Hudson was all about opening his presents.

Starting to get tired :)

Loving his train table.

It was a great morning and so much fun watching Hudson open all of his gifts.  He was definitely spoiled this year, new books, DVD's, sing-a-long radio, puzzles, and of course the train table.

Christmas Celebration #2

Christmas afternoon my family came over to hang out and have dinner.  Since we are getting older (sad), my siblings and I decided to skip the presents for each other and instead focus on our parents and Hudson.  Once again, baby boy was spoiled!!!  From my older brother Torey, he received a 4 wheeler (let's just say mama was not too excited about it.....)  Of course Hudson had to help put it together but once it was together, he was not too sure about it.  Instead he had mama drive it......

(making the point that we HAVE to wear our helmet on the 4-wheeler)

Hopefully by spring time he will be more comfortable driving it so we can take it out in our backyard.

From Tonia he received an whiteboard/magnadoodle easel.  We have made a couple lovey pictures with it :)

Please note Tonia's artistic wrapping job :)

From Uncle Troy he received a car that makes lots of noise and will go by itself.

Finally, from nana & papa he received every single Thomas the Train choo-choo for his new train table, Thomas pajamas, plate set, etc :)  Most of his presents he ripped of the wrapping paper and moved on to the next one.  This present he had to check out every single train and then have it opened.  He loves his choo-choo's :)

Overall it was a great holiday spent with family.

Christmas celebration #1

Sunday December 23rd we had Justin's family over for a Christmas celebration and a lasagna dinner.  It was so fun celebrating Christmas this year and watching how excited Hudson was about opening his presents and seeing what he got.  From Justin's family he received a John Deer big blocks truck, Elmo guitar, some puzzles & books, a Gap gift card, and a bunch of clothes
.

It was so fun watching him unwrap the presents as half the time he could care less what the present was, he just wanted to rip the paper off.

Holiday Program

Tuesday December 18th Justin & I headed over to Hudson's daycare for a little holiday program.  We were a little worried that as soon as Hudson saw us he would not stand up front with the rest of his class.  He definitely surprised us, went and stood with the rest of this classmates for the entire program.  Though he did not actually sing, it was still fun to see and they were all so adorable singing their Christmas carols :)

So proud of baby boy!  Maybe next year we will even do a little singing ;)

Gingerbread House

One of the many things I was looking forward to this holiday season was making a gingerbread house with Hudson.  I bought a full kit at Michael's and picked up some extra candy at Target for our little project.  Luckily we put together the house before nap as it had to sit for a few hours before we could start our decorating.

Once our house was completed, we moved on to making sugar cakes and decorating them.  Next year I will definitely need to purchase (or borrow from my mom) some cookie cutters so we can be a little bit more creative :)

Such a fun day we had!  Can't wait to do it again next year :)

Winter germs

Once again it's that time of year where cold viruses are running rampant.  We were keeping our fingers crossed that overall Hudson had been doing pretty well this winter.  Because of his RAD (reactive airway disease..... really asthma) winter is usually pretty tough on him and his lungs.  Up until the end of December, we had only used his nebulizer for one virus.  Of course the week before Christmas he started coughing with a runny nose and some wheezing.  Right away I started his nebulizer, which seemed to help.

Such a big boy doing it all by himself :)  And of course he knows once we are done, he can play with the nebulizer machine for a couple minutes.  Hopefully we won't be using it too much this winter.....
