Mother's Day & Hudson's 3rd Birthday! May 12, 2013

Mother's day was extra special for me this year as we also celebrated the little man who made me a mommy three years ago.  It is hard for me to believe that it has already been 3 years since Hudson was born.  I remember being at work that day, thinking this baby was never going to come!  But of course my child is punctual and he entered the world just 30 minutes before my predicted due date :)

I never knew how much you could love someone until I saw him for the first time.  He has brought so much joy into our lives.  He constantly teaches us new things and he has definitely made me a better person.  I love you so much Hudson, I don't know what I would do with out you!

We started our morning by playing with all of our new toys and giving Hudson his birthday present from us......

For lunch we headed over to the Cheesecake Factory for some good food and of course some dessert

From there we headed over to Nana & Papa's for a nap and then Auntie Tonia made us a mexican dinner.  Such a great day!

Happy 3rd Birthday Hudson! Party May 12, 2013

Saturday we had Hudson's 3rd birthday party!  This year we went with a construction theme as baby boy loves his "dirts".  It was a cool and windy day but that didn't stop the kids from having fun :)  Most of the afternoon was spent outside in the backyard enjoying the sandbox, play gym, and toys.

Luckily there is construction going on at Justin's work, so he was able to borrow a few signs, cones, and tape for us to use as decor in our garage.

Our meal this year consisted of turkey burgers, hot dogs, fruit & veggies, cheese & crackers, potato salad, buffalo chicken dip & chips.  Due to short attention spans, right after dinner we moved on to cake and then present opening :)

Zoo Day! Friday May 10, 2013

Friday May 10th, Justin, Hudson, & I headed to the MN Zoo for our annual zoo trip around Hudson's birthday.  It was a little cool that day but at least the sun was shining.  Hudson was so excited to see the baby cows, baby pigs, and the tractor. 

First stop on our walk to the farm was the tiger lair where we finally got to see one of the tigers :)

Next stop was the Farm!  Of course Hudson wanted to sit and look at the tractor :)  But we did see the baby cows, big cows, goats, and pigs.

From there we headed towards the bears where we were able to see both the brown bears and the black bears
